Answer :

In two triangles if the corresponding angles are equal then they are , whereas in two polygons if the corresponding angles are equal, they may not be similar, i.e., In triangles,

(Pairs of corresponding angles are equal) ⇔ (Ratio of corresponding sides are equal).

But this is not so with respect to polygons.
